Hodgdon Pyrodex RS – 1 Pound

Hodgdon Pyrodex RS can be used in all calibers of percussion Muzzleloading rifles and shotguns. It has a wide application of uses and is the most versatile powder in the Pyrodex line. Like all grades of Pyrodex, it burns cleaner and produces less fouling than black powder. RS compares to 2F black powder on a particle size basis.

While Pyrodex offers improved safety and increased efficiency (in terms of shots per pound of powder) over black powder, the level of fouling is similar; Pyrodex is caustic and corrosive. Therefore, the same cleaning regimen used on black-powder fouling must be employed when Pyrodex has been used.
